Born in Recife, Brazil, Dr. Kessler graduated from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco as an architect in 2011 but soon after found her true passion working with animals.
She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Dr. Kessler is Fear Free certified and has completed the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA) certification to better assist clients and animals during the difficult process of euthanasia. She has a special interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Kessler is fluent in Portuguese and English.
Dr. Kessler and her husband, Joseph, have a female Shepherd mix named Mel (Portuguese for honey). They enjoy traveling and spending time with Mel outside.
