Dr. Ashley Pickett - Veterinarian

Hello Port Charlotte!

I'm coming to you from Virginia, although I spent the last several years in the Caribbean at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. I moved here to Florida to join the amazing team at Charlotte Animal Hospital. I've wanted to be a Veterinarian since I was young; the 'why' has evolved, but the end goal has never changed. I understand firsthand how hard it is when pets are sick or injured and they cannot tell you what is wrong. I want to help clients better understand and navigate their pet's care. I will advocate for your pets' health, whether it's through amazing preventative care or diagnosing an illness or injury.

I love surgery, but I'm also working on completing my certification in acupuncture. Perhaps I'll delve more into integrative medicine as I learn and grow in my career. We'll find out together as I plant my roots here at Charlotte Animal Hospital!

Outside of work, I love playing different sports and I joined a local sand volleyball league. Hoping to find other fun activities in the area!
